Where are you based?
We live in the mountains of Whistler, BC. Being local to Whistler gives us an extensive knowledge of the area and some of the hidden little locations that are amazing gems for your wedding day!
Do you travel for weddings?
Yes. Definitely. 100%. We love photographing weddings across BC, Canada and in other countries. Experiencing traditions and cultures that are different from our own is an amazing experience. We have worked hard to create a lifestyle that allows us to explore new places and cultures for 3-4 months per year, often choosing destinations for personal travel based around wedding bookings. What are your prices?
We can send you detailed package and pricing information if you email us at info@taralillyphotography.com or through our contact page. Wedding photography on prime weekend dates starts at $3000. We are always willing to create custom packages as well.
We have an adventure planned for our wedding photos - are you open to something off the beaten path?
Yes! We love exploring new places and if that requires a drive, hike, ski, bike, SUP, or kayak it would be amazing. We are adventure experts on our sister company Whistler Elopements and we may be able to give you some other ideas and help you plan and book your adventure as well!
How long do we need a photographer for on our wedding day?
We would be happy to help you work out a timeline for the wedding day and a photography package that captures exactly what you want. We do offer a Full-Day photography package that is designed to tell the full story of your wedding day by capturing all of the important events from you day. It starts with an hour of getting ready coverage for both partners, and ends with an hour of post-dinner partying and dancing.
Do I get Tara or Steve for my wedding?
Tara will be your primary photographer for the wedding day unless she is unavailable, in which case Steve may be your primary photographer. There is always an option to hire both Tara and Steve together. This option also allows Steve to be your officiant if needed as well!
Do we need two photographers?
For most weddings, two photographers are not required. However, when Tara and Steve are booked together, it allows them both the freedom to be more creative and create images that might not be logistically possible with only one photographer.
How many photos will we receive?
From a full day wedding, we deliver roughly 75 images per hour of photography time.
When will we receive our photos?
We always edit a handful of sample images the week after your wedding. The full gallery will be ready within 8 weeks. Early in the season or winter weddings are often delivered quicker than 8 weeks!
Do you mind if our family and friends take photos at the wedding?
Of course not! Everybody wants to document the day and have social media photos ready instantly. We just ask that family always stays behind us and doesn’t interfere with our ability to do our job.
How do we book our date with you?
To secure your date, we require a signed contract and a 30% non-refundable retainer of the package price. Your remaining balance is split between two payments. An additional 30% is due 90 days before the wedding and the final 40% is due 15 days before the wedding.
How do we pay?
We prefer e-transfer through your online bank, however we also accept credit cards.
